O&M is one of our core services – through our expert engineering, we deliver cable condition monitoring, fault location, diagnostics and repair, through to substation maintenance of high voltage and auxiliary equipment. Unscheduled maintenance is not a problem and we offer the provision of 24/7 emergency response services – mitigating risk for our clients at all times.
The average cable repair costs in excess of 10 million and requires a 3 to a 5-month time frame to reinstate the cable and resume service. Over 75% of the losses made in offshore wind projects can be attributed to cable failures. O&M and asset management are therefore essential in any offshore or onshore project, strategy and planning.
Our personnel are the best in the business. We can respond quickly to fault call-outs, diagnose the problem, engineer and develop a solution and then quickly mobilise our teams to implement an expert plan for repair or replacement, minimising down-time and getting your network back online.
We have teams of Senior Authorised Persons and High Voltage Technicians certified to work at both onshore and offshore sites, all holding an array of network provider-specific and National Grid authorisations. Recently we strengthened our mechanical Operation & Maintenance team to complement our electrical O&M expertise. This has increased our pool of High Voltage Experts, Fire Safety specialists, Certified Inspectors, Generator Technicians, Rope Access & Paint Inspectors, Confined Space Personnel and Rope Access Painters & Technicians.
